The Vanamm, with its unique landscape surrounded on three sides by rivers embodies the spirit of Tipeshwar, which is called the Green Oasis of Maharashtra with four rivers – Purna, Krishna, Bhima and Tapti flowing through it.
The heart of this mystical forest, where legends whisper through the trees, is home to its own folklore - the ancient legend of the revered goddess Tipai whose name is etched in the very name of the forest - Tippeshwar. A temple dedicated to her graces the summit of a hill within the sanctuary.
